Better late than never, eh?

Many things have happened since we last spoke. Where to begin? How about here?
We have been living in this house for exactly one year next week. Do you know what will happen on that day next week? Other than the anniversary of us living in this house? It will officially become a home. Our home. Mmmm hmmm, das's riiiiight. We are buyin' this place! Funky carpet, weeds, 2.5 acres, 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, and all! And we couldn't be more excited to become home-owners once again. You can bet your bottom dolla we got some sweet plans in store for this place!

Lightening storms are so amazing here. Everything is so amazing here. We consider ourselves very blessed and lucky to be among the 500,000 other residents of this, the Equality State. 

We've been on some pretty unbelievable excursions and adventures in our short 12 months of residence. You cannot believe the beauty of this place until you have experienced it first-hand. 

We have also acquired a pool table. Complete with matching carpet and a map wall. It has led to some late nights and much laughter. The pool table, that is.

Another benefit of living where we do, is that for the first time in over 12 years, we are only a short 8 hour drive away from our siblings and parents. 

Now if that isn't enough to make you smile, I don't know what is.

I know I've told you before, but I'll say it again. I love to get my hair done. There's just something about having someone else play with my hair that puts me into a hypnotic state. It's soooo relaxing, and I love the feeling of fresh, soft, just done-by-someone-else hair. It's also something that I don't do often for 2 reasons: 1) I'm lazy and don't like having to maintain my hair. 2) It can get pretty pricey. It may be because I fell into one of those hypnotic states that the following disaster occurred. I guess my first clue of impending doom should have been when my stylist decided to get her nails done. At the same time that I showed up for my appointment. Now, I'm a compassionate person, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I shrugged it off, and waited patiently for her to finish.
