Well hey, howdy, hey y'all!

-
Wurd. It's been a while, eh? So. Whatcha been doin'? We:

-Got our now 8 year old's ears pierced.
-Kept Mac the dog outside all the time because he was sprayed by a skunk. At point blank range.
-Are fighting the never-ending cold that keeps coming back again, and again, and again...
-Played on the beach.
-Ate donuts from The Sugar Shack. Seriously. Mmmmmm.
-Are anxiously awaiting the birth of not one, but TWO new babies in the family! (Not this family, though.)
-Played in Disneyland in December. But not at the same time as the measles outbreak.
-Have been driving around in a car with a newly permitted 15 year old.
-Attended a dance recital for our almost 14 year old.
-Are forcing the 8 year old natural gymnast to go to gymnastics because she loves it but hates attending class. Weirdo.
-Wished for snow.
-Found snow and went cross country skiing.
-Attended the National Cowboy Gathering in Elko again.
-Are planning Spring Break.
-Are wishing school to be over and longing for summer vacation.
-Are preparing for track and field season.
-Spend our free time (well, one of us does) rebuilding antlers.
And finally, we are dreaming of a day when we can hang out with all our family members who are far, far away.

wow seriously, If I knew how to update my stupid blog I think I would start blogging again. It was my only source of keeping a semi-diary of happenings in the family. I think it would be so nice if we all could keep in touch. I know how busy lives get...mine, well it is at work and then home again E I E I O. Seems like we NEVER have time for family except who lives within a radius of 15 miles. I am old and I am tired of working, which begs to differ if I were not working would I be viewing your blog and wishing I were home trying to figure out what to do with my life. Hmmm I have a year and a half to go. I am just hoping for greater health. Wish I were your age still and seriously, I would do things a lot differently. Love you ERMA!

I know I've told you before, but I'll say it again. I love to get my hair done. There's just something about having someone else play with my hair that puts me into a hypnotic state. It's soooo relaxing, and I love the feeling of fresh, soft, just done-by-someone-else hair. It's also something that I don't do often for 2 reasons: 1) I'm lazy and don't like having to maintain my hair. 2) It can get pretty pricey. It may be because I fell into one of those hypnotic states that the following disaster occurred. I guess my first clue of impending doom should have been when my stylist decided to get her nails done. At the same time that I showed up for my appointment. Now, I'm a compassionate person, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I shrugged it off, and waited patiently for her to finish.
