Totally out of ideas for a title to this post

Last year (like 3 weeks ago) we had an exciting day in our household.
Corrine decided to get her ears pierced.
I promise, I had nothing to do with her decision.
Really!
Michael took her and her friend Halli out to call in some coyotes for fun a couple of days after Christmas and Corrine told Halli that if she shot a coyote, Corrine would get her ears pierced.
(Corrine had gone with Halli just the day before when Halli got her own ears done.)
Well, from the outcome of this story, you would already know that Miss Halli shot herself a coyote -  with Michael's help, of course. :)
I wish I had pictures to document that!

Doesn't Michael look so happy?
He loves going to stores like this and meeting all the unique people that shop there.

When he called and told me the story and said that Corrine wanted him to take her,
I was so happy she wanted to include her daddy in this BIG decision, but a small part of me was sad.
I wanted to be there, too.
I asked politely if I could come along (more liked begged) and I promised that I would stand silently on the sidelines - which I did. I did not interfere at all. This mama minded her manners and let the Daddy take control. It was very cute. He helped her pick out the earrings, he signed the papers, he paid for it. He did it all. I kept up my end of the bargain, as well, by keeping my mouth shut. It was a win-win.

Our girl was so nervous! She was 3rd in line behind a 6 year old little girl getting her ears pierced for the first time and an older girl getting her ears pierced a second time.

When Roo's turn came, she asked if she could have them do both ears at the same time. The lady looked at me and goes, "We usually only do that for toddlers." I don't know why she was looking at me, the Daddy was in charge, remember? She must have seen me glance at Michael and I'm not sure if he made a scary face at her or what but it was enough to make her have a change of heart because she said, "I guess we could make an exception."
After Miguel inspected the dots and declared them to be even and in the right place, the ladies lined up on either side of Corrinee, got their ear-gun thingies ready, counted to 3 and pulled their triggers.
Our girl was so brave. No tears. Just that face in the photo above.

All done!

And done with a good friend.

She's for sure a big girl now.
