Art by Laynee
I was going through the little one's backpack, as is our ritual every day after school, and I was looking at all of her papers that she came home with.
One was a strip of paper with her numbers 1 - 20 written on it. (All backwards, by the way.)
One was a flyer notifying all parents of elementary school children that they have a parent day coming up. One was the school's hot lunch menu for the month.
Another was a flyer telling the children how to properly brush their teeth.
But my favorite one, the one I always save for last, is her artwork paper.
Her teacher gives the students time during the day to draw pictures of whatever they want. Sometimes Laynee draws fairy wands or writes MOM MOM MOM over every square inch of her paper. (I won't lie, I love that she does that!) Lately, she's been drawing lots of hearts and kitty cat heads. And as you can see from the picture below, both of them are coming along quite nicely.
Then I looked at the bottom of her paper. I saw the black stick figure and immediately thought of a Star Wars character. When I pointed it out to her, as we were all sitting around in the family room visiting about our daily activities, she goes, "Yep. He's throwing up."
You guys. I could not stop laughing.
Michael could not stop laughing.
We were all cracking up!
Here, I'll show you a close up...
And yes, that other figure in the top right is also puking. But hey, at least she drew bowls for them to puke in instead of having it go all over the floor. That would really make their mommies mad.
