It's a bit of a really big update. Ish.
Here's the lowdown: We've been busy. Now I know that you all are busy too. In fact, I haven't heard from a lot of you so I know somethin's gotta be goin' on. I mean, I check and recheck your blogs to see how you been doin' and there aren't any updates. Then I think," Well that's boring," and I go back to my corner and rock.
K. Not really. I usually try to find more productive things to do besides waste my time on the computer. *snort* Yeah. Right.
So...Imma give you a break down of the goings on:
Hunter is playing football. Big brother can play, man!
Corrine is in cross country. Her mantra is, "The faster you run, the faster you're done."
Laynee started Kindergarten. All. Day. Kindergarten. Mmmmm, hmmmm. That's what I said.
Michael is playing his guitar right now, learning a new song. He's pretty good. And a fast learner. Brat.
I have just finished a job that I took at the beginning of the summer, working as the concessions manager for the county speedway -- you know, racing, -- in addition to the coffee shop. It was so much fun and I met a lot of people and stabbed myself with a fork and had a bird decide to nest in my hair and made a lot of food and burned my arm. On nacho cheese. It's not pretty.
Day 1 -- 1 hour post-burn. See all that dead skin that got melted away? Yup. Owee.
Day 2. Looks like a slab o' meat, eh? Still owee. And raw.
Hunter turned 13. Teen!Ager! I love it! I have waited all my life to be the mother of a teenager, and he has not disappointed. Seriously. We are gonna have some fun!
Corrine got a wheelchair. For her birthday back in May. She takes Laynee on nightly walks in it around our neighborhood. We have just now stopped getting concerned phone calls from the neighbors.
Laynee has been in time out at school. Already. And this is only the 3rd week of school! The first time was because she was being wild. The second time was because she threw a block - a wooden block - at a little boy who knocked down her tower.
Both girls are in dance; Corrine in hip hop and Laynee in Pre-ballet. They are both pretty amazing dancers. Not unlike their mama. *sniff*
We went crabbing yesterday. Corrine got pinched. Hard. On both hands. Not to worry. We got even by boiling and then eating him. Yummy!
Everyone around me is having babies. Seriously. Are you pregnant or have you recently had a baby? Would you mind if I came over and snuggled with your little one for a while? I desperately need to love on a teeny tiny baby.
I...think...that's about it...for now.
