Easter. Eggs. Silly string. A snail. 'Bout time.
Did you know Easter has already come and gone? Like, a month ago. It's true.
I'm not even lying.
We went to a small place down by the river. We did not drive the van. That would just be too much to be in a van down by the river. Think of what the kids at school would be saying.
The big kids got to run through the forest again and search for eggs and money and full sized candy bars.
Laynee got to hunt in straw with other children her age. It was so nice for her to only compete with, like 15 other kids instead of the whole offspring of the county in which we live. That's what I hear it was like in the "big city". They say it wasn't even fun. That the parents were the ones doing the "gathering" and that it was more of a re-enactment of a really bad Wal-Mart stampede at a day-after-Thanksgiving sale.
Thank goodness for small towns and the folks who keep them so.
She was so cute and kept looking to Corrine for guidance.
Easter Sunday turned out to be somewhat warm. The Easter Bunny hid his bounty all over the yard and the kids had a grand time searching for them. They did miss one, though. No worries. I found it yesterday. The jelly beans tasted fine, just in case you were wondering.
Look at that boy. He thinks he can grow up 'n stuff.
Psh.
Whatev.
He's still my baby Hunter.
We had a tag-a-long friend. He was so tiny and cute. And snail-like. Which is why we could not allow him to stay indoors. Back out he went.
These next few pictures are important because you see that all men are merely just big little boys with facial hair and deep voices. And full time jobs and a mortgage.
Meanwhile, all this was happening in the background.
The Easter Bunny gave us all a can of silly string.
We took full advantage of that opportunity, I tell you what.
Once, I actually put the stalk on Hunter when he thought he was stalking me.
I got him soooooo good!
Ahhh. It was awesome.
The end.
