You want a piece of me?

Gah! Where has the time gone?

Disneyland? Why wasn't I invited? I'm starting to feel a little left out.

This picture was taken completely spontaneously. The kids were not posed by us. They simply just started doing what they do. And how lucky were we to snap this shot at the perfect moment?

So one time a long time ago I wrote a review on a book that I read, on a book website, and boy howdy! You would not believe the negative comments I got from the general public! Only because I said I didn't like the book. And guess what? Almost all of the comments were made by young people. Kids. Slamming me because I "was not fully appreciating the book, and the effort the author put into writing it." Psh. Whatever. I'm totally over it. Until I get yet another comment telling me how "whacked and uneducated" I am. Except they can't spell. They use abbreviations and use z's instead of s's at the end of a plural word. And they use k's instead of ck's. All things I would never be caught dead doing.
At least I've got that going for me.
Now who's the unedukated one, eh?

And that's all the effort I am going to waste on that bit of nonsensical information.

The Bug will be 5 next month! We have made a paper chain for her to count down the days until the anniversary of her birth. This is awesome because now she actually looks forward to bedtime, just so she can rip a link off.

One of my new favorite shows is Cake Boss. We don't have TV so we watch it on Netflix. Which is awesome because we don't have to see any commercials! No advertising company hurling their products in our faces. No Vicky's Secret models telling us that their new chest pillows are on sale. No previews for scary shows that will strike terror into the hearts of our children. None a that. And as a result of this new found fascination with the New Jersey based show, we have all begun speaking with an accent. An Italian Jersey accent. It's pretty cool.
Laynee's favorite phrase is, "I'm the Boss." Only it sounds like this: "Ahm da baws."
And since we've begun watching the show, each one of us craves cake like no other.
So to counter-act that feeling we watch The Biggest Loser.
It's a win-win.

Work is going well. I'm loving it. I get away for a few hours a week and the added money goes nicely into our grocery/miscellaneous budget. You know. Miscellaneous items that have no category. i.e., bird seed, feminine hygiene products, duct tape, super glue, pink light bulbs.

I heard from a friend today whom I haven't spoken with in over 8 years. 8 YEARS people. And guess who called who? It was not I who took the initiative. She did. It was so good to hear her voice. What a pleasant surprise it was, indeed. She said she had a dream about me and it made her want to look me up.
When I told Michael that, he goes, "That's hot."
*snort*

I am trying to plan a trip to the Arctic Circle (not the one in Utah by my parents' house, though their fries are delicious). My dear, dear Jes has been transplanted there and I aim to go see her.
In the cold.
The negative degree cold.
It's OK.
I don't plan on going anywhere while I'm there.
I'm really only planning on sitting in her front room on her couch staring at her all day.
Well, that and snuggling her 4 month old babe.
Mmmmmm, I can smell the baby shampoo already and it's making my mouth water.

Tax returns should be coming soon.
So, yay.

And that about sums it up.
I'll not make any promises that I don't intend to keep, so I'll just end by saying:
Till next time, my pretty.

Oh ERMA, it has been a long long time since I have written, and a longer time since I have blogged. I am just at the end of my 59th year and it seems like all of my 59th brain has just about worn itself out. I am thoughtless. Visionless and am hoping for a resurrection at midnight on the 8th of Feb. sigh, big sigh. Please keep writing words.....it helps my 59th brain heal.........
