RAR!

Why, yes. That is a black bear.
A 300 + pound black bear.
Thanks for noticing.
Even his head was huge. It weighed no less than 35 pounds.
You can't see it, but the veins in my neck were bulging in this picture because his head was so heavy to hold up.

I was able to accompany Michael when he got this bad boy.
Let me tell you what. That was an experience I won't soon forget.
Nor will I be hunting black bears any time soon.
This guy stomped us, charged us, and woofed and snorted at us in all kinds of shades of angry.
I may have peed my pants a little, that's how bad he scared me!
And stinky!
Whooooo-weeeee was he smelly. bleh.
BUT, I am very grateful that my Mr. knows what he is doing and how to use a firearm. I must admit, it was kinda hot watching him in action.

So, thank you Mr. Miguel BarBell.
I am really glad that I had my very first wild bear experience with you.
There is simply no one else I would trust going up against such wildness.
Even if you did scare the woo-hoo outta me,
you only have to sleep on the couch for one more night.
