A post for October. Before it's over.

We're still here. Just busy.
We have lots to report and I'm not sure which you would like to see first, so I'll go ahead and choose for you.
*Disclaimer: I am unable to move the pictures around to the order in which I would like them to be displayed. So you have your choice of either A) Reading the post and then scrolling through the pictures and putting them in order of how you imagine them to be or 2) Reading and then looking at the pictures in no particular order and not caring.

Here we have the pumpkins. We went pumpkin pickin' and made it a day out.

Michael came home from work in a timely fashion and out the door we went. The u-pick pumpkin patch was just what the doctor ordered. We pulled up and because we are sorta last minute folks, there really weren't a whole lotta people around for us to fight over pumpkins with. Just take a gander at those beauties!
(On the left are [obviously] pumpkins, but on the right? That field is chuck full of peppers. The hot kind, the bell kind, the pepper kind. And they are simply begging to be picked!)
We didn't really have to wander far or wide to find our favorite pumpkins since there were soooooo many to choose from. But we did take our choosing seriously.

Haha! This picture makes me laugh because I know what happened just after I snapped it.
But before I tell you what happened, let me ask you a question. Have you met my husband, Michael? Have you ever been privy to his practical jokes? No? Well, you're missing out.
And FYI, our son, Hunter takes after his old man and loves to scare the living daylights out of his sisters. Now go back to the picture above.
The kids went through a (very) simple but sweet hay bale maze and had fun running through it over and over.
But...
Do you see Hunter crouching down low, waiting to pounce?
Do you see the ignorant faces of the girls, mainly the little one?
I think by this point, Corrine has spotted her big brother and is a millisecond away from screeching.
But Laynee has noooooo idea what lay in wait.
And it's a shame I didn't catch it on video.

Well, shoot. I wanted to save these 'til the end, but you know.
Lame Blogger and stuff. I blame the system. Not the operator.
Laynee's pumpkin as carved by Daddy, but directed and supervised by Laynee.

Corrinee girl, hard at work creating a masterpiece.

The Director describing how she wants it done.
(That would be Hunter on Laynee's other side. That hat? That was his 'payment' for helping out at the booths at the school's Harvest Carnival. He hasn't taken it off since.)

After pickin' we went out to eat. Corrine went into the bathroom and came back out saying, "Do you want to hear a scary story? It's true. And it happened just now." We laughed so hard. That girl cracks us up. I know that to you, the reader, you're like, "That wasn't funny." But trust me. You had to be there. Michael giggled like a school girl who just found out her big crush likes her back.
Or something like that.

The crew and their spoils.
I love them.
So.
Much.

We got our faces painted! Not on the same day or at the same place, but I thought "pumpkins!" so I included it here. I love this picture because my baby girl looks so little and not like the 4-year-old-going-on-15 that she really is.

Have I mentioned that I'm working now?
Yep. I'm a working girl.
Part-time.
At a coffee house.
A Mormon girl working at a coffee house.
You should try my coffee.
I hear it's Heavenly.
I wouldn't know.
I don't like coffee.
