When it's Sunny Day
That's what Laynee says when she means tomorrow.
Here's an example of how she used it today...
Me: Laynee, would you please put away all those clothes that you tossed in the corner over there? There really aren't that many. It will be so easy!
Laynee: In a minute, Mom.
Me: (15 minutes later) Loo, your clothes are still waiting for you! Look! It's only your swim suit, a jacket and a pair of jammies. Come and get them, please.
Laynee: (pretends she didn't hear me)
Me: Layna! Did you hear Momma? I asked you to come get your things.
Laynee: (nods her head but continues on in her little world of Polly Pockets.)
Me: (walk over to her, lifting her chin in my hand and making eye contact) Elayna Rae. Mommy asked you to come and put your clothes away. Remember what I said earlier? If you don't put them away, then they become mine and I get to give them to another little girl who will take care of them. Do you want that to happen?
Laynee: (rolls her eyes) Mom. You can't give another little girl my things. That other little girl doesn't like germs. Plus, when it's Sunny Day, you won't even remember to give them to her. So now can I play more?
Uhhhhh, dang. She's got my number.
