Strawberry fields forevah!

Sometimes I cannot believe how amazing it is to live where we do and how much stuff there is to entertain us!
Last week I took the children to a local farm and we went strawberry pickin'.
I was in such a frenzy that I forgot my camera, because hey! Strawberries! Hello! If we don't get there soon, they'll all be picked out!
At a buck a pound, I was sure I'd be beating people out of my way.

Not to worry. There were tons of berries. In fact there were so many white ones, that I think I'll go back tomorrow and get me some more! Mmmmmmm. Who cares if only part of our family will eat them. And no, I will not name names.

Thirty minutes, four buckets, three full bellies and twenty two pounds later, we were done.

Now all I need to do is somehow turn them into something I can preserve. Does anyone have a recipe for milkshakes that will keep for a while?
