Some really good pictures
Yes folks. The following pictures were taken by none other than yours truly. I'm not sure what went wrong with the camera, but I refuse to accept that it is operator error. OK, so the first few aren't so bad, it's just the fuzzies in the last few that sorta make your eyes want to focus over and over by blinking in rapid succession.
Lemons and limes and their juices. Corrine and a friend made a very, um, tasty concoction. To my surprise, they downed every last drop. Fevers and shadows. Little one is finally starting to feel better. Her cheek "shadow" is gone and her cough and whistling lungs are darn near clearing up. Praise the Lord.
Corrine is playing basketball this year. One league season just ended and another one is beginning. This is her first year playing and she loves it! She said to me the other day, "Mom? I don't want a boyfriend on the football team or the baseball team. I think I'll choose someone on the basketball team. That's so much cooler."
And last but not least, the girlies got to be on the Jr. Cheer Team for the high school and cheer at a varsity basketball game during half time. Laynee didn't do any of the cheers because she couldn't remember all the moves, but she did do a cartwheel every time a cheer ended. It was, to say the least, ADORABLE. Corrine was a rock star and nailed all of the moves perfectly, but wouldn't you know that the only picture I took of her is the one below? I tried to eliminate the red eye, but all that did was make her look less like a demon and more like Alice Cooper. And don't even get me started on the video I tried to take while THE WHOLE CROWD decided it was icee time.
It was only slightly annoying that no one in the audience stayed put for half time, deciding that the precise moment the cheerleaders came out would be the ideal time to go and get an icee. The least they could have done for blocking my shot was offer to get me one. Sheesh!
