Ciao 2010, Bienvenidos a 2011

What?! 2011? How did this happen? Where did 2010 go? I swear it seems like someone left out a month or two, but looking back, all months were present and accounted for. They all came and went, and with them so did another blessed year. We did a lot of stuff in 2010, and we'll do a lot of other stuff in 2011. The kids will continue to grow and the seasons will continue to change. 2011, I welcome you.

We had a fabulous Christmas. Santa was very generous and of course spoiled the children rotten. (Isn't it nice to blame someone else for doing that to your children? That way if they turn out as lazy, incompetent adults you can always go back to that one Christmas and pin point who the culprit is. "That Santa. He never did anybody a lick of good giving all those gifts to the children. Now look at them, they walk around in a trance all day, as if in a drunken stupor from all the overstimulation associated with their Santa toys. Not only that but now they won't even eat their brussel sprouts! It's a darn shame. Psh. Santa.")

My Miguel gifted me with....wait for it....wait for it......B-b-b-banjo lessons! Yeeee to the Haw. I can hardly wait!

Christmas Day, the big kids woke up and entered our room at 4:41-ish and were promptly sent back to bed until 6:01-ish. They came back at about 8:34 and we gave in to their pleas to arise and shine and open presents. I loved seeing their faces as they opened their gifts and how they were so pleased and grateful for all their new treasures. The iPod, xbox 360, and pink stick unicorn-horse were all hits. But I think the favorite gift of the season was the marble game from Grandma. After a few hours of enjoying our new toys, we packed up and headed to the land up North to spend the rest of our holiday with Michael's bro and his sweet family. As always we had a grand time.

Our New Year's was equally as impressive. I may have mentioned this before but we are in cahoots with a lot of simply amazing people. I feel so blessed to include them in my circle of friends. You should all be very jealous. Or at least happy that people like us have friends.

I did take pictures, but alas, they are on my camera still and not uploaded to the motherboard. Soon enough though. I promise to share them with you.

Until then, I wish you the best and happiest New Year.
