Snow days, snow days, wonderful, wonderful snow days
Today school was cancelled because there was 3 inches of snow on the ground. THREE INCHES people. Not a big deal if you live in Winter Wonder Land anyway, but here? It's a major factor in the decision on whether or not to send out children to school.
The kids woke at their usual 7 am and before even eating breakfast, they were dressed and out the door to play in the white stuff before it melted.
Update: It is 3:40 pm and the snow has not melted. We are lucky snow owners today.
The kids stayed out until well after 11, and came inside cold, wet, and hungry. They had hot cocoa and some lunch, and are now back outside putting their semi-snow clothes to the ultimate test. Do you know how much fun it is to jump on the trampoline with snow on it? They can't get enough.
Funny quote of the day:
As I was getting Laynee out of the tub a little while ago, Corrine came in the bathroom all smiles declaring that she was headed back out. I took one look at her and said the first thing that came to my mind, "Corrine! Your teeth are so white and beautiful! I love them!"
She looked at me, blinked once and in a tone of voice that intimated my stupidity said, "Yeah. That's because I ate snow today."
Ahh. That explains so much.
