AC Gilbert's: A science fun place

I gotta get me some motivation. There could be a lot of reasons for its absence around these parts but I choose to blame it on the rain. Or lack thereof. Or both. How's that for all encompassing?

In my previous post I mentioned that Loni and I had taken our kids to a science museum. We had a good time. We sat in a really large rocking chair and took pictures...
(Not all of us were thrilled by this and it shows by her refusal to smile)

We played in the bubble room and got to blow ginormous bubbles...

The kids played in a life size Chutes and Ladders game...

We played on the swings...(once again one of us was not in the best of moods)

We did a little grocery shopping...

We played with a laser shadow thingy...

Had a tea party in China...

Played in the bubble room again on the way out...

And took more photos in The Big Rocking Chair.

Have I mentioned that she is the most unhappy child ever now that we have stolen her best friend Binky? It's all we can do to get her to blink when we dress in drag and do the hula.

On a side note,
I have found a very effective punishment for her grumpy outbursts and sudden irrelevant tantrums;
When she is naughty, she gets grounded from dresses.
It works, I tell you.

Somewhat related:
The other day when I was chasing her down to put some leggings under her skirt because
a) it was cold
and
b) the skirt was size '18 months' which when translated means 'too small for Laynee',
she yelled at the top of her lungs,
"Mom! Princesses! Never! Wear! Pants!"
To which I replied, very calmly, I might add,
"You're right. But Princesses also never show their underwear."

ha HA.
She had no response to that.

Hahaaaa, oh, her tantrums are cute to me, but I'm sure not AS cute to you. Hopefully she forgets about her binky soon! I remember when I got my 'pete' taken away. It was pretty traumatizing.

OH MY GOSH ERMA! those are the good ole days. So glad that you are documenting all of this! The binky thingy...it too shall go away. Brooklyn was almost 5! had baggies full and would carry them around in zip lock bags and then hide them, she was a double triple binky girl! Natalie spent LOTS of money bribing her with lost of presents. YOU ARE LUCKY!
