A little bit of "Moon" shine to brighten your day.
(FYI: In my need to state the obvious, I am well aware that the title of this post may or may not have anything to do with the body of this post. Just humor me.)
In sticking with the nature of this post, I will proceed to fill you in on the goings on 'round here as listed below:
- School started.
- Laynee is 3.
- Canned tuna for a week straight.
- Cleaned up from said canned tuna experience, i.e. threw away all towels associated with the canning of the tuna process, bleached all surfaces - twice, hauled the STINKY garbage to the dump, washed out the garbage cans and the back of the truck - twice, and threw up 1,309 times because of the odor wafting my way from the direction of the carport.
- Spent time trying to clean my house.
- Went to the gym once.
- Hunter is in cross country.
- Helped with a scout fundraiser.
- Laynee is 3.
- Read "Learn to Play the Banjo".
- Looked at my banjo.
Luna vs. Moon.
Ladies, what's your opinion?
Let us now take a break from our lengthy vacation posts and focus on our Wednesday's Word for today. I love to open my email and see what the word of the day will be. It gets my brain a-thinking and thoughts a-churning in my head about all of the clever sentences I could use with each of the words that are being sent my way daily. The one that arrived today was no exception. Anacoluthia. Isn't she beautiful? Oh, just wait until you read her definition below. She, I feel, describes my writing to a T. Capitalized, underlined, largest font and in bold print T. Not that my grammar is all that bad, no. Simply that there isn't much coherence to my writing. I do take pride in that.

- Went to the newly built/opened Costco 3 times.

So there you have it.
anacoluthia \an-uh-kuh-LOO-thee-uh\, noun:
Lack of grammatical sequence or coherence, esp. in a sentence. (Or in this case, a blog.)
At one time or another, we have all suffered through those unappealable debates in which a lady, with copious interjections and anacoluthia, swears that the word "luna" is more (or less) expressive than the word "moon."
-- Jorge Luis Borges, Emir RodrÃÂÂguez Monegal, Alastair Reid, Borges, a reader: a selection from the writings of Jorge Luis Borges
P.S. Don't you love the example sentence they have here for the word? It's like we all can identify with the writer when he says that at one time or another we've all dealt with a crazy lady who thinks the word luna is superior/inferior to the word moon.
I'll give you some time to think on that for a while.
Ladies, what's your opinion?

Love that word- I may steal it for a facebook name :) It sooo fits me. (I have been racking my brain trying to come up with a great fake facebook name- it has prevented me signing up for years now- no more)
I really like the word Luna- Always have since I was a kid. Most people don't have any idea what I am talking about when I say Luna- Moon it is.
Hope you are well :)
