A royal bedtime story
Once upon a time there was a little princess. This little princess loved to cut things. Paper, bed sheets, dresses, the cat's tail. You name it, she cut it. One day while her mommy was walking from the royal living room into the royal laundry room to get a fresh pair of royal "delicates" for the little princess, a flash of gold caught her eye. The royal mommy looked down at her feet to where the shining gold pieces were coming from and she let out a loud, "Gasp!"Two large bunches of the royal princess's golden hair lay near the royal rubbish bin. Upon further examination, the royal mommy noticed a few more golden locks inside the royal trash. Kneeling down she gently picked up the golden tresses that had been carelessly strewn about on the floor, and cradling them in her hands, sought out the royal princess to whom the gold pieces belonged. "Your royal highness? Begging your pardon, but I couldn't help but notice that you may have snipped off some of your royal golden hair. Might I ask why?"
To this the little princess replied, "Because royal mommy, my hair had an owee in it. But it's just all gone now."
At once the royal mommy's mind was eased. And looking at the little princess's masterpiece only added to the royal mommy's comfort. It was as if her royal highness had studied her reflection in the royal mirror enough to know just how and where to place the blades of the royal scissors. (Those of which have been quietly removed from sight lest another few golden locks find themselves on the chopping block.) She had layered her hair most delicately to frame her royal face. Of course, who could go wrong with locks (and looks) like these?
