Have you seen me?
I seem to have gone missing.
So sad.
I know that I promised and all, but seriously? It's a little bonkers around here lately. Seems like I have lots to do and lots that I want to do, but the stuff that actually gets done? None of the above. Want to hear a sad story? Once upon a time, I was a faithful-ish blog writer and had many visitors. Then I got really busy with other things and this here blog took a back seat. (By the way? That phrase? What does it even mean? Is it supposed to mean that those "items" placed back there are not as important as the front seaters? No wonder my kids fight over the front seat. Does it mean you put your babies in the back seat of your vehicle because it's safer for them to ride back there, and it's OK to forget about them? We all know how impossible it is to ignore a little one in the back seat.) And now my weekly visitors has gone from many to none. That's right. NONE. A big fat zero. That's how many visitors I had last week. Sad isn't it?
Anyway. Done with the sad.
On to the happy.
I love love love summer. It's totally my season. Never mind that I don't have the svelte figure that I once upon a time had (don't tell me I never had it; I like to live in a fantasy world) and that my bathing suit is best left in my dresser drawer, but man! I love the hot. I love the smells of summer. And I love trips to the river. Boy howdy do I love trips to the river. If you lived here, you'd love them too. I'll show you why.

Climbing down the rope to get to the river's shore. And then an additional 500 yard walk to the water.
Pools of water. Warm water. For the girls to swim in. Did I mention they were warm? Oh, and Pirate's Booty. It may not be good for my booty, but who cares? It's delicious.
Snugly toddlers. Love this part probably the best. Small mouth bass were the catch of the day. You should try it while snorkeling. Seriously the coolest thing ever.

Fish faces and daisies.
We live in a beautiful world.
Don't we?
You should come and buy a house so we can live closer to each other.
You know you want to.
