To all my "Moms"

This is for all of you; my moms.
I have met some pretty amazing women. Some I have known from the moment I was born, and others have come into my life just recently.
But all of you have made an impact on me in ways you will never know, simply because the language of man cannot express the feelings of my heart.
I am who I am because of you, my moms.

Celine Dion puts it beautifully:

You gave me strength when I was weak.
You were my voice when I couldn't speak.
You were my eyes when I couldn't see.
You saw the best there was in me,
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach.
You gave me faith because you believed.
I'm everything I am because you loved me.
You gave me wings and made me fly,
You touched my hand, I could touch the sky.
I lost my faith you gave it back to me,
You said no star was out of reach.
...I'm greatful for each day you gave me.
Maybe I don't know that much,
but I know this much is true.
I was blessed because I was loved by you.

You are my mommy, my mom, my grandmothers, my sisters, my friends, my neighbosr, my relatives by blood and by marriage.
You are my moms.
All of you, each and every one, have a special place in my heart; in my very being.

I've watched you with your own families, in your own elements. I see who you are, I see what you do.
I read your blogs.
I see you daily, monthly and sometimes only yearly.
You gave me life.
You gave me your son.
You gave me your friendship, your love.
You have amazing children.
You don't yet have children.
You aren't married and deemed biologically a mother.
And you are all my moms.

"Never ever say you are only a mom, a friend, a person, a woman.
Mothers/Women nuture the souls of the world."

I love you.
My moms.

On this day, I am the happiest Mom in the world.
And this is part of the reason why:
Embrace your Womanhood. Your Motherhood. There is no better reason to be alive than to be someone's "Mom".

Sweet Emily (ERMA) what a wonderful post. You are an amazing woman and mother. I know where you got it from too. Your mom. She is an amazing woman and mother! I love reading your posts. You always make me smile and always find a way to touch my heart as a mother. Mainly because I have BTDT most of the time. I am so glad you are a part of my family, my niece. I love you tons!

Sounds like you know your stuff. My Mother's Day wasn't as wonderful as yours but a good reminder that I am a mother and mother's have to keep being mothers no matter what the day! Thanks for a more uplifting and beautiful way to remember why I am a mother. Your Friend...
