-Roses are beautiful, but they will wilt and die within a week.
-Chocolate is delicious, but you know the old adage, "A moment on the lips; forever on the hips."
-And jewelry? Psh. Michael gives it to me when I least expect it anyway. Plus, as much as I like sparkelies, I'm not much of a Bling-Bling kinda girl.
No. Instead of all the fancy stuff, there were simple Valentines for my lovies, heart shaped waffles for breakfast, a yummy roast for dinner prepared by Miguel, and that evening, Michael and I were treated by Hunter the Babysitter for a night out. Together. Sans kids. It was beautiful. And perfect. And all that I ever could have wanted.
