Up with the tree

This year, I was having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit. A little. Mainly because I didn't want to get out some stuff that I was going to have to take down again in 3 weeks. It's a huge ordeal. But all that has changed, my friends. I have renewed vigor and it is all thanks to this little ditty:

And no, for once, it's not Laynee Loo. It's the cd she's holding atop her head.
When my siblings and I still lived at home and we would put up the tree, this was the album we would listen to over and over and over. Sometimes we even made up dances to go along with the music. It was fantastic.
I have been looking everywhere for this cd, since my dad only has it in vinyl and we don't have the capabilities to copy it onto a cd. For years I have looked. And this year I found. Online of all places. Sheesh. It's like the Internet is an endless store of information and things. It's amazing. Technology is awesome. I ordered it right away - before Thanksgiving even - and then began the long wait for it to arrive. It took nearly 3 weeks to come, seeing as it came from the UK and all, but when it finally got here, I felt that all was well in my world and we could now put up our tree and break out the mayhem that somehow turns into Christmas decorations. You should have seen the looks on my family's faces as they watched me dance around the room, singing at the top of my lungs. It was glorious and so much fun. I now feel a little bit closer to home and that this year, the being away from our families, will be a little bit more bearable. Thank you Osmond family for making this possible. I love you.

Let the decorating begin.

Happy December!

Oh the memories of the family all coming together and decorating the tree! Boy I must have blacked out a lot of memories! I don't EVER remember that happening! It has been a huge deal all my life I think! No wonder your OMA hated Christmas! I finally did my thing and got the tree and decorations up, I think Bob was more excited than me, you should see the outside of the house! LOL

Beautiful tree decorating pictures, and I love memories like that... except, I really would like to see the video of your dancing, I know it would get me going with my own decorating.. : ) Love you, happy December to all of you our loved ones in that beautiful place you live in.
I love you guys! I'm SO glad you are feeling the Christmas spirit now and you can sing along to your new favorite CD!!! I would love to hear the music that has enlightened you...Miss you guys a ton! I want you go give each member of your family a big hug now and tell them it is from Auntie Tamara from SJ.

That's too funny! We had the same Osmond track, except on an old record. Wow, that dates me. It is definitely classic. That and the Chipmunks Christmas album (maybe that one's unique to my family).

To the good ol' days.

cheers
Emily
