We went, we saw, we came home. And it was good.

I thought I would take a break from Laundry Day Monday to share with you my brief encounter with the latest craze.

The above video is my [sortof] review of New Moon. We went with 5 other couples all of whose company I truly enjoy. With this crowd, laughing till your sides and your cheekies hurt goes without saying.

Amy and Rusty (above left) are looking to adopt. Know anyone who can help?
We went to dinner at our favorite steakhouse, and were even treated to some movie popcorn at the theatre. Mmmmm. Mostly I loved being on a date with my hunky hubby.

I wasn't overly impressed with the movie New Moon, mainly because I'm not overly in love with the book New Moon. But I must say, it was 10 times better than Twilight. And it may be because of the company; ie, Michael. (What does that even mean anyway? ie. Psh.)  I did not embarrass him by wearing a shirt that said, "Warm blooded men make my blood warm" but I did laugh at inappropriate times and that was only because I was maybe a little bit embarrassed for the movie in certain parts and wanted to reassure Michael that "Yes, I know this is a little lame, and I'm laughing to show you what a good time I'm having and that I'm not a total Twi-loser and that on some level I think it's all a bit odd." I'm pretty sure he got my drift.
Also, I am a firm believer that misery loves company. This photo should drive that point home for you.

P.S. Was anyone else disturbed by all the creepy new vampire previews we were forced to endure? I am especially haunted by the little old lady {sweetly} telling her pregnant waitress that her baby would burn and then turning into a rabid zombie-ish vampire. Agh! Seriously, it won't leave my head.
P.P.S. How funny is Amy in the video? I'm a little awkward in front of the camera, but Amy is right at home and HIL.ARI.OUS. And as she demonstrates for us below...

Some fans go too far.

Creepy grandma that jumps and crawls on the walls and ceiling. shudder. eek.
I did like the movie - SO MUCH better that the first, and I'm looking forward to the next one i.e. eclipse.
I'm not overly in love with this book/movie either, and those that took their 'love' i.e. screaming, to the extreme i.e. laughing at parts that only normal humans would think to themselves 'oh chuckle that is some what humorous' ON THE INSIDE rather that laughing out loud and somewhat irritatingly. i.e. e.e.
