It's an early Wednesday's Word, k?
triskaidekaphobia \tris-ky-dek-uh-FOH-bee-uh\, noun:
Sometimes, I just don't understand the logic of this world.
Fear or a phobia concerning the number 13.
I don't really have this condition, this fear of the number 13, but obviously it is a genuine fear, which is weird because the number 13 really isn't that bad. If it's odd numbers you're afraid of, just add 1 and 3 and you get 4. Then it's an even number. Also, 13 is the next odd number after 11 and 11 is Michael's favorite number so therefore I feel a little bit protective of it and what better number to keep 11 safe than 13? If you were to add up all of my siblings and their spouses and the one miscarriage my mom had, you would get 13. And if you were to add up all of my family (parents, children and spouses, and grandchildren) and all of Michael's family, you would get 35. Add 3 to 5 and you get 8. Divide 8 by 2 and you have 4, which is what 1 + 3 equals, and that in turn brings us back to 13. See? It's all relative.

I choose to believe in the superstition of the number 13 for fun- where math has no fun, no matter how illogical it is to dislike a number.
Math= Boring
Math+ ME= crazy talk.
