Backyard Bliss

Laynee and I flew to Utah for my brother Scott's wedding a few weeks ago. We brought Snow White along for company. Snow White thoroughly enjoyed her flight and kept asking for snacks from the flight attendants. Laynee was very patient with Snow White and all of her demands. After all, it's not easy flying with royalty.

The day before the wedding, Scotty Poo, Mom, Mandy, Laynee and I all went out to lunch. It was really yummy and I was not at all afraid of the crazy city drivers. Never once did I feel as though I could reach out and touch the car next to us while driving 50 mph on a narrow 4 lane road. I felt completely at ease when a bus pulled out right next to us and missed side swiping us by millimeters. I did not break out in a cold sweat when the car behind us nearly rear ended us when we stopped for a red light, and when the same car passed us and pulled out a shotgun and shot us dead in our seats because we made him 45 seconds late for his pedicure, I was filled with peace.
OK, there was no shotgun. But still...

Scott was the epitome of calm just moments before the ceremony. What a handsome man.

And my brothers. Oh, my brothers. Love them.

The YMCA dance was an event that you should be sorry you missed. I still dream about it's wonderfulness. And the skills these men possess is unparalleled.

The dancing gene comes straight from Big Daddy himself. Check him out in the background. There was a time (35 minutes or so) when the whole of my family alone dominated the dance floor. I think we intimidated the rest of the wedding party because we are that amazing with the moves. In fact, my rendition of Beyonce's Single Ladies is still being talked about.
The whole crew before the wedding, minus Miguel and Korin, the bride.
This little flower girl was beautiful. She did so awesome! I thought for sure she would freak out because of all the people staring at her. But really, she loved it. The only thing she did not love was parting with the flower petals that she was supposed to throw on the ground. I ended up having to walk/push her and the ring bearer (who's 18 month old eyes melted the hearts of every woman there!) down the aisle and when I leaned down to whisper instructions to Laynee on when to toss the petals, she goes, "No! Mine!"

She made a beautiful bride. He made a handsome groom. Together they'll make a wonderful family. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
I love you.
