Moving on...

While at my parents' house, my littlest bro and his sweet wife Carrie were up visiting from St. George. He had this brilliant idea to teach me and Carrie how to ride a motorcycle. Because you know how it is with something you love. You want to share it with the people you love. So here we are. Posing just before I took off. Now, what you do not see documented is Carrie's awesome-ness on the bike. She rode like a pro. Or so I heard, I didn't get to witness it. And for that I am deeply regretful. Maybe I could have learned a thing or two.
Kev was an awesome teacher. And here he is giving Carrie (who was the photographer) a thumb's up. Meaning, "She's doing great. So far, so good. No screaching or squealing of tires." Please keep in mind that we have not ventured out of the parking lot of the church, yet. I'm feeling confident, so Kevin asks if I'm feeling OK enough to drive to Mom and Dad's. (Who live literally TWO BLOCKS AWAY.) I respond in the affirmative. Off we go. And the following video is what occurred immediately afterward. I would like to thank Carrie for her mad recording skills. Without her, this video would not have happened. It's the best use of 9 seconds you will ever spend.

In my defense, the manufacturer of motorcycles should not put the brake and the gas anywhere near eachother. How do they expect me to stop using one and start using the other if I can't figure out which is which? It makes it very difficult for those of us who have a hard enough time concentrating on one thing at a time. Please don't confuse us more.

P.S. The fence is fine. The grass is fine. The bike is fine. Kev and I are fine. We're all fine.

That is hilarious!!! My hubby and I are Motorcycle people, but I know I could never handle his big bike- now I question something smaller as well. Kudos for giving a shot, and congrats on not busting any bones :)Thanks for sharing
That is probably the exact same thing I would do. Tyler said he will never teach me how to ride a motorcycle. At least not on his.

ERMA, That is a great video! When your 90 and look back at this one you will pee your pants laughing if you already haven't done so! I had to catch up on the last 3 posts of your...been a little busy with "the girls" while they have been here for 3 weeks. It has been awesome. But all must come to an end and the end of the week I will be doing some catching up myself after they have gone. hugs.
