Continuation
(Bryce Canyon, June 1998)It's sorta a lazy Sunday (now Tuesday) evening and in between cooking dinner and refereeing the kids, I'll begin a post. Here are some pics of our Bryce Canyon trip with Grandma. For those of you who have never been, you are seriously missing out on some of the most beautiful scenery ever. I know it's not Hawaii, or the Caribbean. It's not even the Grand Canyon, but it. Is. Beautiful. Michael and I went there (my first time) for part of our honeymoon. It hasn't change a bit. I have, though. It was wonderful to see nature being so strong and grand.

This is the beginning of the Navajo Loop trail. It was 1.3 miles round trip, but let me tell you Mister. It could have been 13 miles and we wouldn't have been able to tell a difference. It was that steep and HOT. But so fun, too. Especially carrying The Bug the whole round trip.

The kids did awesome on the way down. The way up was a different story altogether, though. See, you make your way down this long winding way, then you have a nice leisurely stroll around the base, then you must make your way back up via a new and different winding way. It's work, I tell you. The kids did not want to go up the new way because they thought we had to then come back down and go up the same way we originally came down. Can I just tell you that the look on their faces was priceless when they realized that once we were at the top, we were done. Phew. What a hike. And what a fun trip. We ended it with ice cream. Mmmmmm.

The crew at the end of our hike.
(Notice the no pants on Baby. It just got too hot. Oh to be two and go pants-less again.)
