Babies
I never thought we would be cat people. But here we are. Living with a kitten.
Her name is Olive Bars. The kids kept fighting over who she belonged to. They would go, "She's all of ours!" Thus the name Olive. She is super sweet and loves the kids. She even loves chasing Daisy around the house and batting at Daisy's legs, tail, face, etc. Daisy dog is so patient with Olive. She never once has tried to bite or hurt the kitty. It's so fun to watch them play together. When Daisy gets tired of the kitty, she'll just sit on her. Although, I did catch Daisy once with all of Olive in her mouth. She never chomped down, but when Daisy removed her jaws from off the kitten, poor thing was sopping wet. Golden drool. Ick.
And we have another new baby at our house who is 4 days old.

This one belongs to Hunter. He has named it Shimmy. I call the turtle "it" because we won't know its sex for four or five years. Shimmy is derived from 'she' and 'him' and 'my'. Hunter came up with that one all on his own. Very creative, I say.
Next animal purchase: chickens. Then when I say to you, "Welcome to the Funny Farm", you won't feel as if I've deceived you.
