Maybe by posting about warmer weather, it will come and stay a while. You know, kick off it's shoes and relax. I've decided that I'm over the whole overcast skies and pants and sweaters/long sleeves. My feelings won't be hurt when I get to pack up the winter clothes. I love the hot. That's why I thought if I wrote about warmer weather, the sun would feel of my longing and it would give the earth a little nudge in the right direction so as to revolve a bit quicker.
I am also aware that this might not happen. I like to prepare myself for things, so in order to cheer myself up, I have decided to post about a really warm day, just a few short weeks ago.
The weather was gorgeous, and we spent the entire day outside. Laynee spent the entire day desecrating the blue bells in the flower garden,

and the older two spent the entire day in their bathing suits. One of the two actually chose to use said suit for its intended purpose. Guess which one?

Not this one. She wanted to go down the slip 'n' slide, but she didn't want the water to spray her. I was fortunate to catch this on film seeing as it was her only run.

Now this is how you slide the slide. YEAH BUDDY! He did this all. Day. Long. So much fun! Of course you can imagine the spell these sorts of plastic play things hold over the under 50 crowd. We had just about every kid in the neighborhood over. We even had some adults coveting our sweet summer toy. But Michael and I wiped the drool off our mouths and decided that although we may want to play in the water, the rest of the world did not want to see us play in the water. So we held off.
(Notice her bucket. She almost always will have a bucket or a purse or an Easter basket in the crook of her arm. Adorable, I say.)

P.s. don't forget to remove the rocks before you lay the slip-n-slide down or then it becomes "slip-n-bleed" to quote Dane.
