Next up: Parkview Skating Rink. It was Classic.

Our next adventure was roller skating. We almost didn't go because we were all so tired and hungry from our long day spent driving, but hey, none of us could pass up an opportunity to strap shoes with wheels screwed into their soles on our feet and go zooming around and around in circles on a basketball court listening to Hannah Montana, The Crazy Frog song, and MC Hammer. Except Miguel. He stayed home with The Bug and Pa. I hear they played paper dollies the whole time. I'm sorry I missed that.
Oh, and I should mention that the skating rink will only stay open until 10 if they have enough people skating. All it took was one look. They gave our crowd the once over and said, "We'll stay open for a group of 9."
This is the part in our story where I will thank my mom for her uterus. Because without it, we would not have been able to catch the gems that follow. (And thanks to Dad too, because as Homer Simpson so eloquently puts it: It's uter-us not uter-you.)

We let Chris take this shot self-portrait style. He was the only one with arms long enough to get us all in. Thanks Noodle Nubs.

These two are constantly crackin' us up. They could not be more perfect for each other. And we were worried she wouldn't fit in.

We all won tickets for a free something or other at the snack bar. See, even though there wasn't anyone else there (except for two boys around Hunter's age and some girls that I think were friends of the girl that worked behind the snack bar and made googly eyes at Timbo from afar) we played games like Red Light Green Light, the Hokey Pokey, and see-how-far-you-can-skate-while-crouching-down-and-not-propelling-yourself-along. I won that last one, by the way.

I think this is a great shot to really put you, the reader, right there in the moment. Kinda makes you feel like you were chillin' with is, doesn't it?

Schfifty five. Whachoo say? *Disclaimer: If you choose to click on the link, please note that you may want to skip the 1:37 mark if you have children watching. It's not too bad, but just so you know...
And the video. Oh the videos. Seems like we can never get enough of a certain someone in action. On a Saturday night, even.

I totally felt like I was in the moment in that one picture of nothing.....but then I saw the video and got the full effect of the music, the sweet moves and someone's laugh that sounded sort of like a bird mating call??? Heeeehaaaaaaaaa.

This definitely gives classic skating rink a run for the money. Wow, I think I would pay schfifty five dollars faster than you can say poopty peupty pantssss, just to skate there again. Wow. And I'd still like some salsa please.

P.S. Carrie says, "For the record, that is the worst picture of me... EVER!!! And I think you should take it off." (referring to the first picture of this post.) I on the other hand, think it's very flattering.
