Just a snippet

ludic \LOO-dik\, adjective:
Of or relating to play; characterized by play; playful.

We made a super quick, super fun, ludic trip to Utah to visit family. Our Nani is nearing the end of her earthly life and we wanted to spend some time with her before she passes. She is still as fiesty as ever and kept us smiling and laughing and entertained the whole day. The pics that follow are of the end of our trip. When I get all the photos from everyone else, I'll post them in order from beginning to end. And this is the end. Get it? Good.

It was colder than we remembered Utah being. No. It was just as cold as we remembered. My lips were chapped the whole time and I had hard boogers in my nose that seriously hurt when I would pick them out. Or to be more proper, blow them out. I'll let you choose which one makes you more comfortable.

One proud moment for me was when Grandpa said, "She (Laynee) looks like a little Utahn being all bundled like that." *sniff* So proud.

A proud moment for Miguel was the antler hunt. I'm going to let him tell you about it on his blog, because the story just wouldn't sound right coming from someone who wasn't there to share in the glory. Also, you should ask him about being stalked by a cougar. STALKED BY A COUGAR. Only Michael.

Tyler (A and J's youngest), Cass (Tam and Dave's girlie) and Corrine all have birthdays very close to eachother. While we were there, we celebrated all three. They loved and basked (basqued?) in all the attention and fun of the occasion.
Ty and Grandma

Roo and Cass.
Grandma got them matching dresses. So cute, these two!

Cass gave Roo this little fanny pack purse. (Sorry Amy, I know how you feel about the word fanny. FANNY FANNY FANNY.)

We don't have stairs at our house, and The Bug was in love with them. She would go up and down, up and down, up and down. I think she thought she was a big girl. Well, I've got news for her. SHE'S NOT. SHE'S STILL A BABY. GOT THAT?

Just seeing this photo reminds me that SeƱor and I did not get our tradtional 4-wheeler ride. And I did say 4 wheeler, because that's what they're called. Not quads. Jes. And any Arizona person.

And finally, I'll leave you with this gem of The Bug singing and dancing. The kids played Sing Star almost all day one day, and had so much fun. Layna wanted in on some of the action, too. And let me tell you once again; Girl's got skills.

ERMA: way cute post. But...where is the Schippers family? Did you get to go and see them too? OH YOUR MOTHER WOULD BE HORRIFIED if you didn't see them! I sorta had the same thing when I was raising my kids, that is why YOU NEVER SAW OR KNOW YOUR COUSINS on your dad's side of the fam. (sigh) because all of Bob's brothers and sisters had children the same age as ours and my lame brothers....took so long to have kids! We just did "stuff" with them that we didn't do with the Schippers....so..I know....believe me...I know!
