In the news

Good news:
Hunter's last day of basketball was today. (Have I told you before what a great player our boy is? Seriously. He's amazing.)
Bad news:
They lost both games of their tournament.
Good news:
They lost both games of their tournament. We were finished after 2 games!
Good news:
We went to Dairy Queen afterwards for some ice cream.
Bad news:
The chocolate part of my twist cone that I was so looking forward to tasted like 7-Up.
Good news:
They gave me a new ice cream cone and didn't even ask for the old one back. (Duh. What would they do with it?)
Good news:
Baby got her own child's cone.
Bad news:
Ice cream + tired 2 year old = a big fat mess.

Good news:
Tired 2 year old is now sleeping soundly in her bed with visions of ice cream cones dancing 'round her head.

The pic below is a horrible one to post, because now you know the state of my daughters' room. I had to post it, however, because it showed how the bug fell asleep. We had no idea why she was so quiet in there. Notice in the first picture the crown atop her head. That's pretty much glued to her scalp as of a week ago. It never comes off. Let me also draw your attention to her outfit. She insists on wearing dresses. Dresses over her other clothes. Not just any dresses, no. These are da-da dresses. Da-da means Princess, or anything having to do with Barbies or Princesses. Or it pretty much means anything that she can't (or won't) say. You get the hang of her language after spending some time with her, though.

Our girls love cleaning their room, and they take every cleaning session very seriously. And there are never any tears involved. Plus, you get to see all of our super sweet possesions and now you'll probably want to come rob us. Let me just inform you that if you do decide to take from the poor, we will know. Those girls have it all documented. They know where everything is and if you ask them to put something away, they'll let you know that it's already where it belongs.

Haha...how on earth did she fall asleep like that?? I'm not one to talk. I used to fall asleep on the linoleum in the kitchen.

Kind of looks like that drawer is about to fall on her.

ERMA, Ahhhh, the memories!!! I remember panicking when I couldn't find Natalie once....we lived in a basement apt, Mike was a baby, Nat was about umm 3ish, found her behind the coach, not much room between the coach and wall, but there she was, sound asleep....all tucked away just like your bug...Mike fell asleep on top of my feet once....(I was such a bad mom) while I was standing at the stove cooking dinner....yeah right across my feet, just layed down and he was out....craziest thing I ever saw...I guess I forgot to give him a nap that day...lol cute pics...and oh leave it up to you mom to eyeball the quilt right away! lol

Ha! We can't wait to have such cute little kids so we can see all the fun things they do. Maybe she was searching for a toy...and just decided to stay there.

I like your reporting style where the same fact pattern is both 'good' and 'bad'. It's good to see things from a few different perspectives.
i love the crown and if you think their room looks bad you should come to my house since i started school...that's right i don't allow people in my home anymore because i do not have the time to clean it!!! maybe someday i will be OCD about it again, but at this point i am to exhausted. i love the little bum up in the air too!
