Cover Girl
The kids and I had so much fun last night watching videos on you tube. That thing is dangerous! I didn't know the world had so many things to share with - well- the world! I showed them music videos of Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, The Macarena , and the Electric Slide. I even taught Hunter how to moooove it. Yeah! I felt all cool and young again. What a time warp trip. Then they wanted to see who the NKOTB were. I was all "What? How have you even heard of them?" I guess someone was talking about a new kid on the block who had moved here from another state. Not the New Kids On The Block. (I was still stuck in the youth category of my life, which is why I thought of the once popular boy band.) So I searched for a video and was transported once again. I remember my brothers and I (more specifically one brother - Scotty boy) watching this video over and over and over again and memorizing the words and their sweet moves. My bro would sing and strut like Donnie Wahlberg. Oh it was great fun. And now, did you know, the New Kids On The Block are back? Yup. And they will have a new album out this summer. I can hardly wait to see how well it does, because I think most of their former fan base is in it's 30's. I won't be buying the album, mainly because I'm a cheapskate and my music tastes have matured (there is nothing wrong with John Denver!) but I will be anxiously awaiting reviews. And who knows, maybe iTunes will offer one of their singles up as a free single of the week.

Love you!
And uh, we just removed Ice Ice Baby from our blog play-list, so you're not the only one who likes to reminisce. Your kids are lucky they learned some good dance moves I don't remember my parents ever teaching me how to dance.
