Free stuff...any takers?

jettison \JET-uh-suhn\, verb:
1. to throw goods overboard to lighten a ship or aircraft in distress
2. the act of throwing goods overboard when a craft is in distress; also, the goods thrown overboard.
One of my biggest pet peeves is not being able to find something when I want to find it. NOW!

I went to the library the other day and because I couldn't find my card (argh!) I used Corrine's card. I was quite surprised when the librarian told me there was a $30 fine for a book that has not been returned from way back in October. Junie B. Jones is a Barber Shop Guy. I am so not a Junie B. fan right now.
It is not my normal habit to clean my kids' rooms. Sorry, but it's not. I try to avoid their rooms as much as possible, and as a result, so do they, but only because they can't walk one step inside without tripping, falling and then breaking their necks over something. It's gross, it's disgusting, and it makes me ve-he-he-rrry unhappy. However, last week we had some surprise guests come and stay and I was not going to allow them to see our house for the first time in such a condition. So what did I do? I went and cleaned (acutally jettisoned, would be a more accurate term) Corrine's room, and just today got to Hunter's room. I have 4 large garbage bags full of j-to the u-n-k to prove it too. Luckily the kids don't know what's in them or we will have a full on mutiny on our hands.

(I would like to call particular attention to the definition of the word I have chosen for your beloved Wednesday's Word, because this truly is a SHIP IN DISTRESS! Thank you.)
I found lots of legos, Star Wars guys and their accessories, unsharpened pencils, marbles, chess pieces, money, (I'm totally keeping it, too! Oh come on! It's only 73 cents.), and lots and lots of socks. But no Junie B. And I am not happy about that. So, to make myself happy, I am going to eat 4 oreo cookies and dunk them in my 1% milk and match up all of the socks that have found their mates. Do you know how happy my kids will be because this means that instead of wearing flip flops in the snow to school, they can wear them some nice warm sockies?!
(I have serious issues with that question mark at the end of that sentence. I know it belongs there because I proposed a question, but the exclamation mark looks and feels so much better. Punctuation is seriously so hard sometimes.)

I totally know what you mean about punctuation...if you haven't noticed...I always use ellipses...like always...when they are not....even necessary. I'm in love with them...and I don't know why.
