Propping them open...barely

A good word to go along with these? Hmmm. Let me think a moment. In the meantime, allow me to blabber.
Today I went to the grocery store and bought some Dawn dish soap. We were out, and I was tired of having our food taste like the inside of Daisy's mouth because we had been using her tongue to clean the dishes until said soap was purchased. Now, my sink has the awesome capability of containing a soap dispenser built into the counter top. Whoever designed this must have had Divine Intervention. Inspiration. Intermission. Something having to do with Divinity. Speaking of, that sounds yum right now. Mmmm, Divinity.
Hmmm?
Oh. The sink soaper.
I was refilling it with the 38 ounce bottle of Dawn and it just kept guzzling the soap away. Common sense didn't kick in until the whole NEW BOTTLE was empty. Still didn't kick in even then. This may come as a surprise to most of you but sometimes, I can be quite an insensate person. Not until I opened the cupboard under the sink to throw the NEW OLD USED UP AND GONE bottle of Dawn away, did our friend Common Sense make an appearance. The bottle that screws into the top portion of the sink was broken. Oops. And barely hanging on by a thread. Dawn was everywhere. Double Oops. No worries. I made Daisy come in and lap it up. I figured it was the least I could do to pay her back for helping us keep our dishes so shiny. She loved it. KIDDING! She hated it.
Oh relax, PETA, she wasn't anywhere near the dishsoap. It got all cleaned up and the environment is safe once again.
But now we are back to the problem we had before. No dish soap. So if you were planning on joining us for a meal in the near future, you may want to reschedule. Daisy will be working overtime and I don't believe in canine overtime pay. Hey, we're in a near recession here.
*insensate: adjective
without sense, understanding, or judgment; foolish.
P.S. Yes. Appease is spelled correctly.

Hmmmm?
Oh I don't mind dog slobber in my food. I'm used to dog slobber and pet hair seasoning my food. Quite tasty.
