Grab the lemon dip
Have you ever seen an artichoke in bloom? Neither have I! That is until my neighbor let hers bloom. I was so mad! Every time I walked past her front porch, I would drool with envy that this plant was hers. I was even tempted to just go up and flat out ask her if I could relieve her of the burden of this lovely flower. That's what they are, you know. Flowers. Then one day, while walking home from the local Market, I spied this. I was at first furious, then grateful. She allowed me to see the beauty of this magnificent piece of food. And my mouth only watered enough to cause a small river to flow from it's corners instead of a large river.Speaking of flatulence, do artichokes give you gas? Not me. But I've heard of this before. Some people I know, quite well in fact, get horrible stomach pains from eating artichokes. I told them that they were full of it anyway and were looking for a scapegoat. Their reply was to blow raspberries in my general direction and call me all sorts of not nice things. I mean, come on! I am currently working with someone who is teaching me what I can do with my one good arm to make you forget about that thing on my neck. Doesn't that count for something?
