This is what it's like here
We are having so much fun visiting with our families! I can't believe how it feels like no time has passed at all, yet, still I feel the distance that separates us when I think of leaving. The only thing that would make my life full and complete at this very moment is Michael. My man is stuck at home babysitting the garden and the Daisy dog. It does comfort me to know that he is as lonely for me as I am for him. (Hi Babe!) So this post will be a bit less random than the previous ones. I know. How will you cope? But I did say only a bit.
I guess I could start off by telling you that we have done loads of fun things already. We went to Classic Roller Skating Rink. Let me just say, that if I didn't have my kids with me, it would have felt like I was in 7th grade all over again. Not one thing has changed with that place. The smells, the carpet, the waterslides are still there. I wonder if the cracks in the slides still rip holes in the swimsuits of the unsuspecting sliders? Oh, the memories that one brings up! Hee hee. Actually, they did add that one part with the big blow up bouncy slide thingys and the jungle gym. JES! Remember when we rented that huge blow up bouncy thing for our girl's night out and H. was there and she was crazy? You know what I'm talking about! If you want to see some great pics, you'll have to check out Tam's blog because she was the one with the camera.
WHAT?!
I DIDN'T BRING MY CAMERA WITH ME?
Do you know what my plane ride over here was like?
Allow me to paint you a picture...
Have you ever traveled with three children (one being a baby who likes to gag herself for fun just to see the look on her mother's face) for three hours in a car, then waited in an airport for 2 hours before boarding your plane, and then being told that you can't pre-board because "you are already in the A group ma'am", and running out of outfits for the gagging baby just before she makes herself throw up all over herself, stroller, and maybe a little tiny bit on the woman's shoes in front of you, having used up your last diaper and praying please don't let her do a twosie in her onesie right about now!, and apologizing over and over (and over) for the binkie that kept flying at random intervals and hitting random people in the back of the head? Have you ever done that? Hmmm? It's a tad bit stressful. So if my camera is the only thing missing, I'm going to consider that OKEE DOKEE with me.
I went to see Mama Mia with Tam, Danielle, and Vicky. Loved this movie! And here's a fair warning: You may want to keep your eyes open for pics of some crazy adults dancing to this soundtrack, and behaving like complete and utter children. I may or may not be one of them. I'll tell you this much, though. I can't wait to see The Boys' participation. I don't think they know about it yet...
Anyways, while we were at the movies, Danielle licked nacho cheese off my sweater, I ran into a wall exiting the bathroom and we all giggled like school girls at this adorable movie. I even asked the lady taking our tickets if she would mind if we danced in the aisle. She gave me the "go ahead", however, I did not get up and dance in the aisle. I was able to control myself this time. But I'm not making any promises for next time...
We hit 2 dollar Tuesday at the Dinosaur Museum. Holy Freaking Moly. I think all of Utah County was there. We did have so much fun, though. Again, I will refer you to Tamara's place for the pics.
Swimming, Crystal and her kiddos at the water park, The Prop, rock hounding, Mexican food, Gator Hut, and wedding preparations are among the other festivities we have been involved in. I'm sure when I get home, and my head clears, you'll see the pics. But for now, the images I have planted in your mind will have to do.
Until next time, my lovelies.
