Is that a soup?
I thought I would mix things up a bit for today's words. I will give you two, because I'm feeling generous. I know. I'm a giver. Except for when I'm taking. Then I don't give. Not right away at least.
For these words I have chosen, I must admit, they did not come from me. I can take no credit for them. They are the responsibility of my sisters. Not this one. These two.
And to protect their identity, I will refer to them as Popsicle (the brunette) and Rinky-Dink (the blonde).
The words I have chosen, I have done so with care. I don't just choose a word because I like the way it sounds or that it's meaning strikes me as particularly funny or because I have just the picture to go with it. Wait. Yes I do. Moving on.
The first word is the property of Popsicle. Poopernickle. That's it. No explanation. No pronunciation help. Nothing. Because that's how the word is. You just say it. You don't even need a reason. Sometimes it's just blurted out at inappropriate times when there's a lull in conversation and you feel the need to fill the air with Poopernickle.
The second word belongs to Rinky-Dink. Wongtangos. This word, too, gets no definition. It is what it is. Again, it is a word used when all else fails and your Tourette's Syndrome can't be controlled any longer.
Try saying them aloud. It feels good, and you have to admit, they're kinda fun to say. Especially Wongtangos. I bet The Words wouldn't even be offended if you added an accent or two. Maybe not a Utah accent, because it's a very hard one to master, and unless you're fluent, your special words might sound more like Pumpernickle and Won-tons.
