Wurd

obtrude \uhb-TROOD; ob-\, transitive verb
To force or impose (one's self, remarks, opinions, etc.) on others without solicitation.

Allow me to obtrude for a moment, if I may.

My daughter is &!!! Actually, she's 7, but & is what I get when I press the 7 key and the shift key at the same time. I was a little excited and wanted to show you how much, so that' s what you got.

Missy Moo Roo turned a whopping 7 years old last week. How can that be? Wasn't she just 2 or 4, or even 5? What happened to the last 7 years? Where have they gone?
She used to sing like Ariel, believed she was Ariel. Now she sings like Hannah Montana and Gabriella on High School Musical. She used to love it when I did her hair. Now she screams when I even reach into the drawer to get the brush. (A fact that will change in a few even shorter years.) She used to let me pick out her clothes for her. Now, she still lets me, but she gives me strict guidelines.
She (still) has her daddy wrapped around that pretty little, long-nailed (because she won't let me clip her nails anymore) pinky finger of hers.
She asked if she could get her ears pierced for her birthday, and I couldn't say yes! I'm not ready to give that part of her little girl-dom up, yet. I didn't say no either, just that she could decide if it was what she really wanted. She soon forgot about it and hasn't mentioned it since, and I haven't brought it up. I guess I"ll cave when she asks again. *sigh*

I thought I would share some pictures of our sweet with you. These pictures tell the story of our Roo.

Happy Birthday, baby doll. We love you so much, and are amazed every day at the individual you are becoming. You are a very particular person, and for that, I am glad. Never settle! Always aspire for the very best because you deserve it!
It warms my heart that you still love to tromp around in my shoes. And some day, your feet will probably be as big as mine. For that I am sorry. But like my mom always told me, "People with small feet usually have fat legs." It may not be totally true, but dang! It sure made me feel better.
I am so happy to be your Mama. Thank you for teaching us how to just... be. I love you, girlie.
