Yesterday's Wednesday's Word's Post

How was that for possessive apostrophes?
I feel the need to explain a bit about my choice in word(s) for this post. Lately, I feel as though there are 5 children living in this house instead of 3. And the only parental supervision around has 4 legs and enjoys long walks in the park on a leash and playing tag with garter snakes. (Hey, leave my brothers out of this!) The kids, Michael and I have had a great past few weeks. No one has had to put their shoes away, or do dishes, or laundry, or anything! We have been taking our meals on the floor, picnic style and not even caring about the mess it makes. So much FUN! But now, I feel that we must say good-bye to those days and it leaves me feeling a little sad. Mainly because the "parent" is absolutely no help in the whole "clean up after yourself" area! Sheesh. What kind of a dog is she? Anyways...as I was watching our screen saver photo collage the other day, I saw the following pictures, and I got the giggles. Just like I did when we were posing for them. I love the clueless looks on the kids' faces and the way Michael and I behaved like teenage boys, when it comes down to...ahem...*human anatomy*, sniggering and laughing. So... I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane. (These were taken in Northern California in April 2005, while driving to our new home in Oregon from Arizona. Babe, The Big Blue Ox, was kind enough to allow us to pose with him.)

dotage: (doe-tij) n. childish state due to old age.

dotard: (doe-tard) n. one in one's dotage.

I believe the pictures speak for themselves.

I think I'm a little dotarded.

I too have my dotard moments myself. And who can blame you in these pictures... You're touching a GINORMOUS hanging "ball". You'd have to be a total stiff not to laugh at that!
