It's Derby time!

Pinewood derby, that is. Hunter's scout troop held their annual running of the 'wood. The atmosphere was set perfectly for the event. The boys were all excited and ready to see who's was the fastest. Also to see who's car was the coolest. I think the dads were more excited, seeing as they were the ones who did the most work on the cars. Oh, come on. We all know it's true!

WOO HOO Buddy! Hunter came in 3rd place! He (and his daddy) worked hard on this car and had a great time building it (together). Hunter came up with the design and paint colors and decor all by himself. Too bad we didn't get a picture of the car. You'll just have to take my word for it. (Does that remind you of Lavar Burton from Reading Rainbow? A little?)

I know I've told you before, but I'll say it again. I love to get my hair done. There's just something about having someone else play with my hair that puts me into a hypnotic state. It's soooo relaxing, and I love the feeling of fresh, soft, just done-by-someone-else hair. It's also something that I don't do often for 2 reasons: 1) I'm lazy and don't like having to maintain my hair. 2) It can get pretty pricey. It may be because I fell into one of those hypnotic states that the following disaster occurred. I guess my first clue of impending doom should have been when my stylist decided to get her nails done. At the same time that I showed up for my appointment. Now, I'm a compassionate person, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I shrugged it off, and waited patiently for her to finish.
