Holdin' out for a Hero

...was the name of the song she danced to. Corrine had her 2nd dance recital on March 1st. She did so great! She is a natural out there on the dance floor. She gets into it and her facial expressions are priceless! Her daddy surprised her with a single red rose after her performance, and she responded with, "I wasn't expecting this!" She's so sweet. I had the wonderful opportunity to be a volunteer parent and help behind the scenes. It was so fun! I got to see what happens backstage and all the drama and confusion and order (surprisingly) that accompanies such productions.


Corrine was thrilled that she got to wear make-up on stage. This is her best "I'm being goofy, but right now I just love that I'm wearing lipstick!" face.
She's such a great perfomer! Even in front of the TV (which acts as her mirror) she makes these great faces. Click on the pic to see it up close.



Then we went to eat at Si Casa Flores. Mmmm. Yum. Here, they don't charge for a chip and salsa refill. Keep 'em coming.

I know I've told you before, but I'll say it again. I love to get my hair done. There's just something about having someone else play with my hair that puts me into a hypnotic state. It's soooo relaxing, and I love the feeling of fresh, soft, just done-by-someone-else hair. It's also something that I don't do often for 2 reasons: 1) I'm lazy and don't like having to maintain my hair. 2) It can get pretty pricey. It may be because I fell into one of those hypnotic states that the following disaster occurred. I guess my first clue of impending doom should have been when my stylist decided to get her nails done. At the same time that I showed up for my appointment. Now, I'm a compassionate person, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I shrugged it off, and waited patiently for her to finish.
