Rock and ROLL!

A couple of weekends ago, Michael and I took the kids roller skating! Remember that? All of you who grew up in my neck of the woods used to frequent Classic Roller Skating Rink. And on Friday nights, they had the dances...Ahhh, those were the days. Except for all the mean skater kids who would torment you as you went in...But I digress. We were able to revisit our youth and had a BLAST! Michael decided to sit out with the babe, so I thought, "Whatever! I'm totally skating! I'm young enough and I bet I still look as hot as I did back when! Let's roll." Ummm, yeah. Let's just say what's in the past should stay there. But I did love to feel the wind through my hair...I must have made it somewhat appealing, because later that night, Michael said, "Next time, I'm skating!"









The best parts? Watching our kids do the same things we remember doing, the $5.00 entry fee for all of us - including skate rental, and The Hokey Pokey - modernized!

What a seriously fun night!!! I totally remember going roller skating and for $5 bucks!!! Can't beat that. And I'm sure you looked super hot doing the Hokey Pokey! Especially the part when you throw your whole self in. Nice. :0)

Okay, first Layna's pig tails are to die for!! So CUTE! Maybe it's just my jealousy coming out, since Mylie can't put ANYTHING in her hair to save her life! I'm hoping when she's 2 it'll be better!!

Rollerskating!! SO FUN! I took the YW rollerskating as an activity and we had a blast! I felt so young again and acting all cool n' stuff! We totally had to go to the ghetto....scary but so much fun!

I know I've told you before, but I'll say it again. I love to get my hair done. There's just something about having someone else play with my hair that puts me into a hypnotic state. It's soooo relaxing, and I love the feeling of fresh, soft, just done-by-someone-else hair. It's also something that I don't do often for 2 reasons: 1) I'm lazy and don't like having to maintain my hair. 2) It can get pretty pricey. It may be because I fell into one of those hypnotic states that the following disaster occurred. I guess my first clue of impending doom should have been when my stylist decided to get her nails done. At the same time that I showed up for my appointment. Now, I'm a compassionate person, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I shrugged it off, and waited patiently for her to finish.
