Dental Insurance, anyone?
Poor Corrine. She had a pretty bad toothache last week, so I looked up on our insurance's website and found a whopping 2 dentists who accept us! I called the first one on our list and they said, "Sorry. We're not accepting any new patients."
Okee, dokee. 1 down, 1 to go.
The next dentist said, "Oh sweetie. No. We aren't accepting any new patients right now. But be sure to check back next year. You never know how things will change."
Huh?
Me: "But my daughter has a real problem with her tooth. It's causing her enough pain to not even want to eat!"
Them: "Oh, I'm so sorry. Well, let me see what I can do. How about at 11 o'clock today?"
Me: "We'll be there!"
Note to self: Never accept just any dentist on your insurance list. Yes, they may seem nice (and in reality they were very accommodating and friendly) but Corrine was traumatized. She never wants to go back. And for the amount our insurance covers, we could have gone to the pediatric dentist who is so highly recommended, and paid just as much out of pocket as the one actually covered by our insurance.
She didn't like the feeling of her whole left side being numb. She couldn't smile. (We all know the feeling, right?) I just had to take a picture because she looked so adorable. I still giggle looking at it! She was so mad that I took this picture and wanted me to delete it right away. But I have a hard time even erasing pictures that I don't need! No wonder our hard drive is about out of memory!
Sweet girl! Mommy loves you!
