Teddy Bear Picnic

I took Corrine to a Teddy Bear's Picnic. We went with our friends Amy and her youngest daughter Ruby. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't more elegant or fancy. It was all very casual and a bit--- not chaotic, not disorganized-- but random. The picnic was handed to us in a brown paper bag when we first got there. It consisted of a bagel, applesauce, cream cheese and chocolate milk. In my mind I had pictured a fancy tea party for the girls and their bears. There really wasn't much to do with the bears at all except for at the beginning, they had some nursing students give the bears a check-up. But Corrine had a lot of fun, so that's all that matters right? (Don't worry--I kept my comments to myself so as not to affect her memories of it!)
Frosty made an appearance and was kind enough to pose for a photo with Corrine and PinkyBlueyBlacky. (Corrine's bear)
When I asked Corrine what she told Santa she wanted, she said a pink scooter. Then she said she only told him that because she was nervous and she knew he wasn't the real Santa so it didn't matter what she told him. When I asked her how she knew he wasn't the real deal she said, " Because I can't see his mouth and the hair on his face looks totally fake." There's no foolin' this girl!
I think this was supposed to be Mrs. Claus. She had the greatest apron. It had all kinds of pockets on it and the girls got to choose a little something from it. They both chose pink bracelets.
This was the bear's check-up. He passed with flying colors! Woohoo PinkyBlueyBlacky!
