Scouts

Hunter attended his first pack meeting in which he received his bobcat badge. He was so excited. Michael took Hunter and Corrine while I stayed at home sick with Elayna. I was sad to miss it, but glad that Hunter and his daddy could share this moment together. Hunter's scout group had made their own teepees and were learning about hieroglyphs and Indians and their lives. This is a perfect topic for Hunter because he has always had an interest and love for Native Americans. Other than a few faux pas, (they sang 5 little Indians for the opening song. And yes, there were actual Native Americans present as guest speakers.) they had a great time. I am so glad that Hunter is excited for scouts. He really seems to like it and fit in well there.

How awesome that Hunter is in scouts!! I still can't believe Hunter is old enough to be in scouts!!! Crazy!! Where has the time gone?!?!? :o)

I know I've told you before, but I'll say it again. I love to get my hair done. There's just something about having someone else play with my hair that puts me into a hypnotic state. It's soooo relaxing, and I love the feeling of fresh, soft, just done-by-someone-else hair. It's also something that I don't do often for 2 reasons: 1) I'm lazy and don't like having to maintain my hair. 2) It can get pretty pricey. It may be because I fell into one of those hypnotic states that the following disaster occurred. I guess my first clue of impending doom should have been when my stylist decided to get her nails done. At the same time that I showed up for my appointment. Now, I'm a compassionate person, I didn't think it was a big deal, so I shrugged it off, and waited patiently for her to finish.
