Dinner Table Games

Usually every night at dinner time, we sit around the table and play a game called, "I'm thinking of..." and it can be an animal (which about 90% of the time it is) or a fruit (only when it's Corrine's turn) or a place, person...you get my drift.

This was our dinner conversation tonight.

Me: I'm thinking of an animal.
Hunter: Is it a mammal?
Me: Yes
Michael: Does it live in Oregon?
Me: Yes
Corrine: Is it allowed to get wet?
Me: *giggles* Yes.
C: Is it a bird?
Me: No.
H: It's a mammal, Corrine.
Michael: It's a coyote.
H: It's a cougar.
C: It's a chicken.

Collective laughter. This girl continues to make us giggle. Every time it's her turn, she chooses either a strawberry or a dolphin. And she looks at us with genuine awe and admiration because we have succeeded in reading her mind.

Kids are so simple. I mean, her favorite number is zero. She has no time for BS. We should take some lessons form Corrine. Life would be much easier. :0)
