Mom's visit
I just had the most glorious visit with my mom this past weekend. No boys (husbands or brothers). Just us girls, except for Hunter, that is! We were able to stay in our jammies one day, all day, and sew and eat chocolate and listen to some good tunes! Ahhhh. So nice. Not that I don't love my men, it's just that when they are around, I feel torn as to how to spend my time and if I am leaving anyone out! On with the pictures!
Laynee is feeding Omee some toast. Yummy.
Snuggle buggy.
This was the state of my front room pretty much the whole time Mom was here. I had decided to make Corrine a quilt and Mom helped me to piece it together. We just spread it out on the floor and left it there! Notice Hunter preparing to take Corrine out in a wrestiling move they learned from their Daddy.
Ok, so we got a little crazy with the camera a few times. I will spare you some of the more goofy pics, but lets just say they all resemble this one in some way! BTW, don't our flowers look divine?
I just love this picture! They were trying to be silly, but in my opinion, they ended up looking gorgeous!
I can't get Hunter to be serious in a picture for anything! SOme might say he takes after his mother. (who, me?!?) But I say it's all relative!

Sunday was Hunter's 8th birthday! Yay, bud! My mom and dad got him some scriptures with his name engraved on them. They also gave him this nice shirt and tie to wear to church. He also got some sweet Star Wars action figures and a Star Wars transformer. (from me and michael) He like Star Wars. And action figures.
Me and my mommy!
This is how Corrine was talking on the phone to Grandma (Michael's mom). She's totally holding the phone like it's a walkie talkie and she's pacing in a large circle. Odd child.
Oh silly boy. He refuses to conform. And Corrine refuses to let me do her hair.

For Hunter's birthday we went out to eat at Si Casa Flores, our favorite Mexican food joint. From the moment we walked in the door, Corrine was telling EVERYONE that it was Hunter's birthday. She made sure they all knew. No prompting on my part! He was embarrassed, but pleased. They called him "Ponchito". Cute. As you can see from the pics above, we all like chips and salsa, but Corrine likes to dip her chips in water. Again, i'll say, odd child. Oh well, more salsa for me! MMMMM. Our waiter, Mario, was so nice to us, and was johnny-on-the-spot when it came to our refills. He also called me Senorita Bonita. LOVED HIM! Nothing like a compliment from our waiter to feed my ego! tee hee.
Hunter decided he wanted a Superman cake. So, he got one. I love that he's still a little boy and likes to do little boy things. I asked him if he wanted a Star Wars cake or a hunting cake, or something else. He said, "Mom, can I have a Superman cake? And can you get the little Superman cake toppers so I can play with them with my Star Wars guys?" It's all about the action figures! He is the sweetest little guy. He has the biggest heart and will do anything for me. He is so responsible and loving. He hates to disappoint Michael or me and will always do his best to try not to hurt anyone's feelings. I couldn't ask for a sweeter son. He is my favorite companion. (next to Michael and the girls, of course!)
Ok, so it's hard for ALL of us to be serious in photos.

I asked Brooke today how she did the headbands, and she does the same thing with the nylons. Her mom did it for her. And she said you have to do zig zag stitch or it won't work. ???? That's the best I can do. hehe That one your mom had on looks good though!
