OK, so this post is a little outdated seeing as our anniversary was June 11th, but I just had to post it. Michael was in Chicago for some supervisor training for our anniversary, so I got this idea to surprise him. I called the hotel gift shop and spoke with a very nice woman who really wasn't that helpful in the gift idea area (she suggested I get him a bobblehead--actually, that would have been a funny gift!) but we ended up settling on a Chicago T-shirt and some chocolate. She picked out the perfect card for him (funny story, if you want details, you'll have to call me!) and wrapped it up all pretty for him and sent it up to his room. When Michael got the package, he thought it was delivered to the wrong person. When he saw the envelope with his name on it, he thought maybe he had a secret admirer. But when he opened the card and read who it was from, he said he felt horrible! (thanks, babe!) lol, No, he had forgotten our anniversary. He called me right away and apologized. I just laughed. I didn't care that he had forgotten. I had only wanted to do something for him so that he wouldn't feel so homesick being away from us and all. So the next day, he was telling this story in his training class and someone said they had a camera, so this is what he did for me! What a sweet guy, eh? I sure do love him! ;)
